Press release: NHS Confederation comments on PCT and ambulance trusts reconfiguration announcement

Commenting on this afternoon's announcement by Health Minister Andy Burnham MP on the reconfiguration of NHS primary care trusts and ambulance trusts, Gill Morgan, Chief Executive of the NHS Confederation, said:

Now that the announcement has been made about the number of new primary care and ambulance trusts we can move on. The next task is to build the teams in the new organisations. We must make sure that patient care is at the heart of the whole process and that staff are treated fairly through this difficult time.

"We will continue to support our members through this time of change. NHS Employers will continue to provide support and advice to trusts through this time of change."
