Health Minister, Rosie Winterton, is the keynote speaker at a one-day conference looking at the role of patient and public involvement in a patient-led NHS on Tuesday 15 November.
She will address delegates at the NHS Confederation conference which is being held at the Cavendish Conference Centre in central London.
The conference will explore what effect increased customer choice, system reform and the principles of the market will have on the way NHS services are delivered.
Delegates will examine the patient and public involvement (PPI) agenda and how to gain the practical tools to help them engage with their local communities. The event will explore lessons from the private sector and foundation trusts, as well as evaluating the mechanisms available to patients for making their voice heard.
The day will follow the timetable below:
