Tackling hospital acquired infections will take a step forward today when Sir Nigel Crisp, Chief Executive of the NHS and Chris Beasley, Chief Nursing Officer launch Saving Livings: a delivery programme to reduce Healthcare Associated Infection.
The launch will be at the Department of Health stand at the NHS Confederation Annual Conference at 3.30pm.
Saving Lives is a toolkit to help acute trusts implement 5 high impact interventions. They are:

1. The NHS Confederation represents more than 90% of the organisations that make up the NHS throughout the UK. Its members include the majority of NHS trusts, foundation trusts, primary care trusts and health authorities in England; trusts and local health boards in Wales; NHS boards and special boards in Scotland; and health and social service trusts and boards in Northern Ireland.
