Press release: Confederation welcomes extra NHS funding to alleviate pressure on boards.
24 Mar 2004
The Scottish NHS Confederation has welcomed the additional funding for NHS boards of £30 million announced today by the Scottish Health Minister Malcolm Chisholm.
Scottish NHS Confederation Director Hilary Robertson said: "We welcome the Executive's recognition that the challenge of reform is adding financial burdens on boards. This extra funding will go some way to alleviating those burdens. The challenge and pace of reform is unrelenting and boards are eager to deliver first class health services to their people but reform is costly. Today's announcement is a welcome recognition of that."
