The Scottish NHS Confederation has welcomed the Auditor General's annual overview of the NHS in Scotland, and its findings that the overall financial management in the NHS continues to be of a good standard.
Confederation Director, Hilary Robertson said: "We welcome the Auditor General's overview and its findings that the overall financial management in the NHS continues to be of a good standard. The service is going through a period of change and faces many financial and organisational pressures. I am pleased that the report acknowledges the challenge of improving and reforming services at a time when the cost of healthcare continues to rise and whilst the service is also reorganising its structures and management arrangements."
