The NHS Confederation with the Healthcare Commission is looking to engage a small group of members to share best practice about cleaning, principally of hospitals which continue to be the focus of so much popular attention.
The workshop will provide the opportunity to inform and develop some appropriate measures for the Healthcare Commission's assessments of the cleaning component of the hygiene code. The Healthcare Commission is particularly interested in developing some simple 'lines of enquiry' for their inspections that will quickly identify when cutting-edge good/best practice on cleanliness has been put in place.
We would particularly welcome; Directors of nursing, directors of facilities and others directly concerned with managing hospital cleanliness who feel they can make a real contribution in identifying the how the best results are obtained in practice.
