Lunch will be provided in this session

To develop leaders that can drive healthcare forward we need to adopt a more strengths-based approach which recognises and nurtures talent and capitalises on the latent knowledge and skills of the promising individuals within organisations. Healthcare Organisations are increasingly subjected to scrutiny and the mounting pressure upon leaders has led many to focus leadership development on modifying the weaknesses in people. This session will discuss the wider challenges facing Leaders in modern Healthcare organisations and we will showcase an approach to the selection and development of senior management at Imperial College NHS Trust where the focus was on the strengths that differentiate people as a means of selecting world class leaders and managers.

Speakers: Edward Donald (Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust) and David Ramsey (Arup)
