In his keynote address at the PCT Network's largest national conference since its inception a year ago, Alan Johnson set out his vision for the future of primary care.

He highlighted that while access was an important issue for patients, he was keen to widen the debate to include more aspects of primary care. He also announced that the Framework for External Support for Commissioners (FESC) would be opened up to all primary care trusts that need it.
