As the independent membership body for the full range of organisations that make up today's NHS, the Confederation meets both the distinct needs of parts of the NHS and their collective needs:

Our priorities for 2008/09
Our top priority for the immediate period is influencing health minister Professor Lord Darzi's wide-ranging review of the NHS (the NHS Next Stage Review), and its implementation.

Our achievements in 2007/08
Over the last year (2007/08), the NHS Confederation has been working on behalf of the whole NHS to bring the management perspective into the public debate, set the policy agenda, influence the development of government policy and promote excellence in the interests of the public, patients and staff.
