Achieving financial excellence for boards

ACCA, the professional organisation for chartered certified accountants and the NHS Confederation have developed an intensive, practical, two-day programme that will equip NHS board members with the key skills they need to manage their organisation's financial performance.

Event dates and venue

The Hatton, 51-53 Hatton Garden, London EC1N 8HN

The Programme

Real examples and scenarios will be used to build delegates knowledge and expertise, enabling them to address the challenges they face in their organisation. Simulations of meetings will illustrate good practice and you will have the opportunity to raise the governance issues that concern you most in lively discussion.

Delegates will be required to undertake some pre-course preparation in order to maximise the benefit of the course.

Speakers

Presentations will be made by:

Mark Millar

With fifteen years experience as an NHS finance director Mark has served on ACCA's International Assembly and is a former chairman of the ACCA Health Service Network panel. He is also a past chairman of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).

Andrew Chambers

Andrew has extensive experience of board and audit committee membership, including an NHS Trust. He is the author of Tottel's Corporate Governance Handbook and chair of ACCA's corporate governance and risk management committee.

Who should attend?
