Delivering the 18 week patient pathway

Delivering a minimum 18 week patient pathway by the end of 2008 is a key objective for the NHS. A number of NHS organisations are already involved in developing new approaches required to meet this ambitious target.

When and where

25 January 2007, 9:30am - 4:15pm
Central Hall, Westminster, London

Eight pioneer sites have been working since the start of the year on how to best measure the entire patient pathway and these approaches are now being embedded across the wider NHS. The forum is chaired by Robert Creighton, Chief Executive, Ealing PCT, and is supported by a steering group drawn from across the London region. Establishment of the forum followed consultation with London PCT members.

The Department of Health has worked with 21 pilot sites during 2005/06 in order to better understand the challenges and along with data collection and Local Delivery Plans have helped identify some of the key areas that need to be tackled. This conference will give you the opportunity to learn about some of this work and its practical application.

The NHS Confederation is running this free-of-charge event on behalf of the Department of Health. Numbers are limited to three delegates per organisation.

What will you get out of it?
