HFC national conference 2007
We are pleased to announce the date for 2007's HFC Conference and Exhibition. The two-day event on the 12 and 13 September will build on the success of this conference in former years, bringing you the most relevant and up-to-date programme on healthcare facilities available.

Delivering the 18 week pathway

2008 Chairs Conference
The 2008 Chairs Conference was held in London on Tuesday 29 January. Over 400 chairs represented trusts from across England at the conference, where speakers included the Rt. Hon. Alan Johnson and Ann Keen MP.

How will polyclinics work?
The Out of hospital care: how will polyclinics work? event was held in London on Wednesday 20 February, to discuss the Government's vision for out of hospital care.

PCTs: making a difference
The PCTs: making a difference conference and exhibition was held in London on Wednesday 5 March. 200 delegates, exhibitors and speakers from across the country discussed the key issues surrounding PCTs one year on from the creation of the PCT Network.

Hospital cleanliness
The NHS Confederation with the Healthcare Commission is looking to engage a small group of members to share best practice about cleaning, principally of hospitals which continue to be the focus of so much popular attention.

Reconfiguring hospitals
On 3-4 July 2008 in London, the NHS Confederation, in partnership with the WHO European observatory on health systems and policies and the European hospital and healthcare federation (HOPE) hosted a 2 day workshop to explore hospital configuration in a number of European countries.

Speaking at the NHS Confederation conference 'On the board or in the dock' Maria Eagle, the minister in charge of the Corporate Manslaughter Act stressed that the act is not to be feared but will boards help maintain the focus on patient safety.

Membership meetings
The NHS Confederation holds two membership meetings in each SHA region every year, giving members the chance to keep up to date on policy matters and current political thinking as well as network with colleagues.

Achieving financial excellence
In light of increasing clinical and financial demands, ACCA and the NHS Confederation have developed an intensive, practical two-day programme that will equip individuals on NHS boards with the key skills that they need to effectively discharge their responsibilities.

New visions for mental health
The New visions for mental health conference took place on Friday 21 November at the Royal York Hotel in York.

Ward managers conference
The 'Mental health care in the future: a positive attitude' conference is the dedicated Ward Managers event hosted by the Mental Health Network. The conference took place on 19 and 20 November 2008 at the Royal York Hotel and was designed in response to the latest challenges facing ward managers.
