The NHS Confederation, in partnership with the Royal College of Nursing, NHS Providers, BMA, King’s Fund, National Voices, The Nuffield Trust and The Health Foundation are holding the definitive national health and care hustings at the King’s Fund on Wednesday 24 May, 6-8pm.
We have invited health spokespeople from the Conservative, Labour, Liberal Democrat, Green and UKIP parties to take part in this national health hustings.
Why should I attend?
The health spokespeople will outline their party’s manifesto commitments in relation to health and care. Attendees with then given the unique opportunity to question them directly on their manifesto promises during an extended Q&A session.
You may recall that in the run up to the 2015 election we held a similar event with Jeremy Hunt, Andy Burnham, Norman Lamb and Julia Reed that was incredibly well received by the sector and the national press.
These 2017 hustings are also being supported by several major professional, representative bodies and Royal Colleges, who are also keen to make this event the definitive national hustings focussed on health and care
Who will I hear from?
- Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt, Conservative Secretary of State for Health
- Larry Sanders, Green Party Health spokesperson
The debates will take the form of a panel discussion with candidates invited from the five major parties, chaired by NHS Confederation chief executive Niall Dickson.
