Membership of the Ambulance Service Network is open to all NHS and public ambulance services in the UK.
Our members
We currently have 19 members, which include the 11 ambulance trusts in England; those from the devolved administrations of Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland, and the ambulance services of the islands of Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man, Gibraltar and the Isle of Wight.
The network is a member-driven organisation and we are committed to involving members in developing and shaping our work programme.
Member benefits
We provide our members with a strong influencing voice in Government, parliament and the media, and ensure that they are kept up-to-date with the changing agenda.
Our members also benefit from:
- opportunities to influence strategic policies and decisions based on member consultation and research
- access to specially prepared publications with research and policy analysis on issues affecting ambulance services
- up-to-date information about the key issues affecting the ambulance service and the network's activities, through our website and fortnightly bulletin
- membership and involvement in the Ambulance Service Forum for chief executives and chairs of the UK ambulance services. The forum meets to discuss local and national concerns for the ambulance sector and to input into the NHS Confederation on influencing policy and its implementation
- participation in our flagship annual conference and exhibition, AMBEX, which provides a platform for learning, information exchange, debate and networking for all those involved in the emergency and urgent care sector.
We are always looking to strengthen our range of services to meet members' requirements.
'The ASN is an organisation whose prime task is to ensure that its members have a collective voice promoting the best interests of ambulance service staff and the patients they serve among key stakeholders, both inside and outside the NHS'
John Burnside, Chair, Ambulance Service Network
