Following the national launch of the world class commissioning vision and competencies in December, attention is now focused on how to enable PCTs to realise this exciting shared ambition. A group involving PCTs, SHAs, the NHS Institute, the NHS Confederation and the Department of Health have developed proposals for how to take this forward set out in “From Good to Great”: An accelerated development programme to build high performing PCTs. These proposals are based on work done by participants at an Accelerated Learning Event in December.
