The NHS Confederation is the independent membership body for the full range of organisations that make up today's NHS across the UK.

Working with our members, we are an independent driving force that aims to transform health services and health by:

• influencing policy and the wider public debate
• connecting health leaders through networking and information sharing
• promoting excellence in employment to improve the working lives of healthcare staff.

The Confederation is the only membership body for all NHS organisations, creating unique networking and learning opportunities. Our members include more than 95 per cent of NHS trusts, NHS foundation trusts, PCTs, mental health trusts, ambulance trusts, strategic health authorities, health boards and health and social services boards. We have also expanded our membership to independent providers that deliver care on behalf of the NHS .
