Commissioning for Quality

01/12/2009

The PCT Network is delighted to announce this date for its next commissioner conference.

Our first annual commissioner conference held in London in January this year proved a resounding success with over 200 delegates attending.  This next event promises another excellent opportunity for commissioners to come together to learn and gain new insights into the latest issues facing their organisations.

Over the last year the NHS has seen a renewed focus on improving service quality, patient experience and health outcomes. However, high profile cases of quality failures remind us there is much more to do, while the economic climate means there will be fewer resources to do it.

At this event we will explore the role of commissioners in promoting and assuring high quality care for all, and consider how progress in quality improvement can be sustained as financial pressures begin to bite.

Who should attend?

The programme for ‘Commissioning for Quality’ will be of interest to senior managers, non-executives and clinical leaders from PCTs, practice-based commissioning groups, and local authorities.  The event will also be a great opportunity for health service providers from the NHS, independent and third sectors to meet their commissioning colleagues and gain a better understanding of their current priorities and future plans.

A full programme for this event and a list of speakers will be confirmed at a later date. In the meantime, please contact Martin Panther, Senior Membership and Marketing Officer at martin.panther@nhsconfed.org or 020 7074 3244 for further information or to register your interest in attending.
