The PCT Network board is made up of one PCT chief executive and one PCT chair from each of the ten strategic health authority (SHA) regions. David Stout has been the deputy chief executive of the NHS Confederation since 2011 and the PCT Network director from 2007 to 2011. David joined the NHS Confederation from Newham PCT where he was the chief executive between April 2001 and February 2007. Before that, David was deputy chief executive and director of Mental Health and Learning Disabilities services in Camden and Islington Community Health Services NHS Trust. He originally joined the NHS as a management trainee in 1984. At its inaugural meeting in May 2007 the board agreed the PCT Network Constitution. Following an election in January 2010, the board elected John McIvor, chief executive, NHS Lincolnshire to the position of the new chair.

2012 board meeting dates
The dates for PCT Network board meetings for 2011 have now been confirmed. The dates are as follows*.

- 28 September, 11am to 2.30pm
- 16 November, 11am to 2.30pm
