The network will work with NHS commissioners to:
- influence national health policy that impacts on them
- deliver QIPP in their local health economies
- make sense of and navigate the changing policy landscape
- effectively manage the transition of functions, staff and responsibilities from PCTs to local authorities, commissioning consortia, the National Public Health Service and the NHS Commissioning Board
- support the development of new commissioning organisations and leaders so they are ready to take on their full responsibilities in April 2013
We will deliver these objectives through a programme of events, briefings, stakeholder meetings and networking opportunities designed to ensure that our members are fully informed and are able to make their voices heard.
In addition, we will continue to ensure that NHS commissioners have strong representation in the media and in public and political debate.
