The Conference is organised by Civic Agenda and sponsored by Peabody as part of its Activate London programme funded by the Big Lottery and is designed for key stakeholders working in the public, private and third sector agencies.
Delegates will discuss and debate mental health issues particularly in the context of social housing. Making services easily assessable to the people who need them will be discussed, as well as the wider implications of poor mental health in our communities.
Chaired by Martyn Lewis CBE, broadcaster, president of the mental health charity United response and founder of youth charity YouthNet, the conference will include key note speeches from representatives from the health and well-being sector, including Steve Howlett, Chief Executive of Peabody, Peter Wanless, Chief Executive of the Big Lottery Fund and Paul Farmer, Chief Executive of Mind.
This event provides the opportunity for 150 delegates working across the sectors of housing, government, charity and mental health provision to come together to engage in much needed debate as to the impact that housing has on people’s mental health. Enabling delegates to review the latest policy, strategy and best practice and how through partnership working, signposting, increased awareness and through good urban design that the well-being of residents’ can be promoted at every level.
