NMHDU learning disability conference on sexual abuse - ‘Breaking The Silence’

The National Mental Health Development Unit is running a 1 day conference on Monday 23 November from 10am-4:30pm. ‘Breaking the silence’ will focus on the needs of survivors of abuse who have learning disabilities.
 
 

This event is targeted atManagers and leads from the following backgrounds:

  • Clinicians / professionals working in learning disability services
  • Voluntary sector learning disability organisations
  • Health & social care learning disability partnerships
  • Safeguarding leads

The key aims of the conference are:

  • To consult delegates on tailoring the routine enquiry of abuse in assessments to facilitate specifically for adults with learning disabilities.

  • To highlight and debate diverse approaches to trauma-related therapies for adults with learning disabilities.
