Mental health covered in new Government’s coalition agreement

Yesterday (20 May 2010) the Liberal Democrat – Conservative Government published its programme for Government, including a number of items which are important for the NHS.
Westminster 

Commitments of particular relevance to mental health trusts include: improving access to talking therapies; exploring alternative forms of secure, treatment-based accommodation for mentally ill and drugs offenders; creating a single welfare to work programme; and prioritising dementia within the health research and development budget.
