Foundation trust status has fundamentally changed the nature of trust boards. The Network has a vital role in supporting FT boards as they develop new ways of working and grow into and develop their new role.

Corporate governance

The purpose of corporate governance is to ensure that an organisation achieves the intended outcomes for stakeholders and service users, and operates in an effective, efficient and ethical manner. Boards achieve good governance by strking the right balance between strategic leadership to drive the organisation foward and prudent levels of control to provide assurance on quality and financial security.
