Who is it for?
Non-executive directors representing ASN member organisations.
What is it about?
Following the success of the ASN non-executive directors (NEDs) events in 2009, the ASN are hosting the second of two events ASN member NEDs in 2010. The event has been designed to ensure that ASN NEDs are more effectively involved with the work of the ASN and the NHS Confederation.
Delegates will have the opportunity to discuss issues including board governance processes in light of the Francis inquiry into Mid Staffordshire Foundation Trust, commissioning and ambulance services and the public health agenda. Delegates will also be invited to debate the key strategic issues and challenges facing ambulance services and the wider NHS, to hear from senior policy makers and opinion formers and to network with other ambulance service NEDs.
