HSRN Spring meeting: the new NHS innovation landscape

23 April, Sheffield

Launching our briefing on the topic, this afternoon meeting was held in partnership with South Yorkshire CLAHRC (Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care).  It explored the post Darzi NHS innovation landscape and showcased the work and approach of one of the new research and innovation initiatives that stem from the best research for best health strategy, the South Yorkshire CLAHRC. Case management: evidence and experience

Improving the management and care of people with long term conditions is a key government aim and one of the biggest challenges facing NHS managers. Case management is often seen as a service innovation that can not only meet this challenge and reduce hospital admissions but also reduce costs.

This seminar, in partnership with the Nuffield Trust an SDO Network, explored the benefits and challenges to different case management approaches learning from the evidence and experiences of the Evercare, Virtual Ward and Manchester models.
